Weather may have put a damper on the opening day on Sunday but Monday made up for it in spades!  I managed to enjoy attending the opening ceremony and had the opportunity to speak with the local Member of Parliament Jim Bradley who has been a family friend for longer than I can attest to.

The ceremony was short, meaningful and to the point.  Our city mayor Brian McMullan was also in attendance and threw the ceremonial first pitch which was immediatley smacked right back at him by none other than Jim Bradley.  It was to say the least one of the most memorable first pitch sequences I have seen!

I will be covering at least one game from each team but will not be available for the finals on the weekend as I will be up covering the Bracebridge Half Iron Triathlon weekend.
