OK…there is wet and then there is WET!  The only thing I can say is “My hat is OFF” to all those athletes who stuck this out!  Cancelled swim, torrential rain and a very tough course even on a good day.  I HAD to give Roger (our resident blog pundit) a front and centre with his finish!  He may be given the Shot of the Race by default for his hop and slop finish!

I managed to get a good number of bike shots before the skies opened up.  I had to bow out as my $75.00 camera rain hood was having trouble protecting my $7000 camera and lens.  I did however get a TONNE of really good finish line shots with everyone “smashing” through the pond at the finish line!

Poo-poo to all the hearty athletes who tried to side step the “yuck”.  Your photo would have been a lot more fun running head on into the water!
