Rain Rain Go Away

Most of today’s weather was just about perfect, until now. It is just before 6pm and it is raining torrentially. Note to Mother Nature, please get this out of your system now and give us sunshine, cool weather and no wind on race day.

 My buddy Angus and I did another swim today (25 min), our last workout before race day. We were joined by another pal (John), who just got out of a full leg cast last week. It was a spirited swim and the Nineteen wetsuits we demoed from Steve Fleck felt great. His wife, pro Paolina Allen, will be racing Sunday.

Afterwards we visited the Expo once again and I checked out the Pro press conference. Sam McGlone was there and she looked primed and ready to go. The women’s race should be excellent with her, Paolina, Tara Norton, Tereza Macel, Kim Loeffler, and Caitlin Snow. Snapped a few pics, then walked around town. Watched the new Harry Potter flick, then had some sandwiches at Simply Gourmet – also a must visit place that is on the left side before you make it into the downtown area.

I am now off to the Welcome Banquet, as soon as we get a break from the rain. I will check in again tomorrow. Until then, enjoy the pictures and stay safe!
